Androwing is a free revolutionary Android application.
It is the first handwriting editor, integrated into your phone to bid farewell to its keyboard.

Now you will realize that communicating by handwriting is way more human.
And that typewriting is for robots.

Handwriting editor

Handwrite on photos

Asciiless desktop

Androwing makes your phone, or tablet, much faster and easier to use, because:
  • You never type anything, but you handwrite, possibly over photos or pictures.
  • You have the reversed input mode, that prioritizes what really matters.
  • You have a visual, asciiless phone, where typewritten text is replaced by images as much as possible.

You don't use text anymore, but images of your handwritings. To do what ?
  • Take notes
  • Send writings by email
  • Send them by MMS
  • Send them to installed applications (Twitter, Facebook...)
  • Store and find them by GPS location
  • Manage a visual, handwritten agenda
  • Manage your contacts visually
  • View multiple websites on your desktop
  • ...
You don't communicate with 128 characters, but with pictures of your creativity.

Androwing

Handwriting Editor
Write each word alternately on both halves of the screen.
Forget the small keyboards, write big words with a finger or a stylus.

You are not writing to a computer, so why use their archaic language ?
You don't have to write like THEY do, now they write like us.
You can write over any background picture, and move your writings wherever you want.
The handwriting editor works like any text editor.
Copy, paste, cut, select some words to modify the size or the color... it's the same.

Handwritten Agenda
Save your writings in the "Agenda" folder, and they become an event.
Then you can see in your agenda all the events of the day.
Each event can have an alarm, and can be repeated on multiple days.
Contact Manager
Each contact is a folder that can have phone numbers, email addresses or hashtags.
Save your writings to one of your contact's folder, and they will be sent be email, by MMS, or sent later.
Your textless desktop can have shortcuts to:
- documents
- folders
- contacts
- Androwing commands
- any other applications
- web pages, with "live" icons showing the page's content, and being refreshed every 3 minutes

Your desktop is unlimited. It can be dragged and zoomed in and out.

Icons are free to be located anywhere you want.
Icons are free to have any size you want.
(Almost) Asciiless phone
As you can see, icons are not captioned by typewritten filenames.
This is because when both are visible, the eyes are attracted by text, and tend to ignore the icons.
Without any text, watching the screen is much faster and much easier. Try yourself.

For a phone, a large phone, a tablet, or a stylus... you can select how big you want to write.

You can build composite pictures, in order to send multiple pictures at once.
Not writing horizontally from left to right ?
You can also write from right to left, or vertically.

Standard text input versus Reversed text input
The standard input mode (see left) is the common input process that takes a lot of time.
Problem: you enter text at the end, and when you're in a hurry, you just don't start.
Reversed Input
With reversed input, you start by handwriting your idea.
Then, if you don't have time, you can stop, knowing that it is safe.
Later you will save it, or send it, to the right location.

Example of "Reversed Input": Create a new contact in a hurry

Standard text input:
  • Run the application called "Contact Manager".
  • Run the command called "Create Contact".
  • Select an input field like "Name", "First Name", or "Phone".
  • Enter the field's content...
  • Go back to step 3 for all missing fields...
  • Validate the contact's creation.
Problem: by the time you're finished typing all this, your contact is either gone or has fallen asleep.
Besides, if you are outside, attending a meeting, a party, or in the subway, you didn't start anyway, because you didn't have time.

Reversed text input:
  • Enter Androwing's handwriting editor.
  • Handwrite your contact's name and phone number.
From now on, everything that's important is SAFE, because you STARTED by securing data.
Your new contact is not yet finalized, but you have everything to do that later.
"Reversed Input" means that you enter all valuable data AT START, and not when time is out.

Once you have time...
  • Hold down the "Contact" button, to create one.
  • Enter the phone number that you see as an icon.
  • That's it.

Of course it's same thing for notes, appointments, emails, or posts to other applications...

Compared to typing, handwriting is faster for most, and much easier for all.
As a communication tool, how many times is Androwing more powerful than 128 characters ?
Only your creativity will tell.

Privacy: Androwing does NOT copy, or send, any personal informations to external recipients or servers.
All external transmissions are under the control, will, and consciousness of the user.

Security: Androwing's data are stored unencrypted on the SD card.
This is because Androwing is working mostly with pictures, which take too long to encrypt and decrypt.

Advertising: Androwing does not display advertising banners.
